As a professional nature photographer in Florida Jason specializes in capturing unique photographs of the creatures and scenery that make this state such a special place. Jason is certified as a Florida Master Naturalist, and uses his intimate knowledge of the unique ecosystems there to capture exceptional photographs of wildlife and natural scenery. As an avid outdoorsman, he hikes his gear into the muddiest, buggiest, hottest, most humid, unforgiving places Florida has to offer. Because even in those places there is beauty that most people never get to see. He hopes his work helps others understand and appreciate those places so that they can help protect them before they are gone.
Jason is an active member of the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA), which selected several of his images as Showcase photos in both 2005 and 2006. His photography has been published in books and magazines, and he is a regular writer and photographer for New Floridian Magazine.
